Various important Causes

  • Please take the time to visit this site! Jessie Foster is missing!  Her case is a classic case of human trafficking.  She was lured from Canada to the United States (Las Vegas) and forced into prostitution! It only takes a minutes to read about her and view her photos!  Her mom, Glendene Grant is desperately still searching for her daughter 5 years later.  Pass info along as well.  Awareness can bring her home.

  • If you ever want to donate to a great cause.......... here is an awesome one!  Shared Hope International   Please read about them and their awesome work!

  • Can you imagine not having clean water to drink?  Here in the states, we almost take it for granted!  It is so easy to walk to the faucet and get a glass of water or buy a bottle of water.  Imagine the summer heat, working out in the yard, going inside to get some water and their is NONE!  Clean drinking water is a luxury that should not be taken for granted.  Please visit and help if you can.  Why Water

With the month ending shortly I decided to talk about a new charity.  It goes in hand with the trafficking and modern day slavery.
Child Explotation.  This is serious folks!  If you ever know or suspect a child is being exploited please visit:  Center for Exploited and Missing Children
There is a 24 hr. hotline # and a cyber tip link.

I think of the wonderful life and enviroment my child is growing up in and EVERY child deserves this!

Also, think about Shawn Hornbeck, ELizabeth Smart and Jaycee Duggard.  These were missing kids who were found.  If you ever suspect a child is a missing or a child is being exploited, it is our reponsablity and duty as honest human caring adults to REPORT IT!

Sticking with same topic due to it being "National Human Trafficking and Slavery Prevention Month"

Happy New Year!  It's January!  Do you know what that means?  It's National Human Trafficking and Slavery Prevention Month.

It's hard to believe that slavery still exist today but it does!
What is Human Trafficking?   Human Trafficking refers to the illegal and immoral buying and selling of human beings as commodities to meet global demands for commercial sexual slavery or forced labor.

Let's all keep our eyes open!  Help spread awareness!  If you ever see ANYTHING suspicious please call 1-888-3737-888.  Please be alert at restaurants, airports, clubs, hotels, for suspicious activity.(unusual submissive behavior, no eye contact, confused, ect....)  Imagine it being your mom, sister, son or daughter.

    Lets look at some statistics:
    • Human trafficking industry ranks among the top three highest grossing illegal criminal industries along with illegal drugs and arms.
    • The number of children trafficked each year for forced labor and sexual slavery has been quoted to be as alarmingly high as 1.2 million.
    • As many as over 50, 000 people, mostly consisting of women and pre pubescent children, are trafficked into the United States from all over the world every year.
    • People who are trafficked into Middle Eastern countries for forced labor have been known to be made to work continuously for as long as sixteen hours without pay. It is common for such domestic help to be regularly subjected to starvation, sexual exploitation, coerced abortions and beatings by their owners, often resulting in the death of the victims.
    • Most of the trafficking victims are recruited by employing deceptive means such as promise of lucrative employment abroad. Sometimes, though it is not very common, women from underdeveloped countries are courted by traffickers (or pimps) posing as marriage prospects and once the wedding takes place, the bride accompanies the groom to his country, where she is sold off to high paying clients.
    • Human traffickers can be both men and women, with men comprising of about 55% and women comprising of about 45% of the recruiters.
    • Over 160 countries across the world are known to be affected by human trafficking.
Human trafficking and modern day slavery is an issue in other countries as well as the United States of America.  Take a look at this video:
